But generally, there’s iDaafa or false iDaafa forms in arabic for these medical terms. Predictable!

note that X-alous correlates to arabic thusly:   adj-muDaaf + X
which makes sense ultimately such something like pachyencephalous is an adjective.

while X-aly correlates to arabic thusly: noun-muDaaf  + X
which makes sense because pachyencephaly is a NOUN.
